A Midtown hotel
new york, ny
Inspired as much by London's Hawksmoor churches as by the great deco hotels of the 1920's, this boutique hotel aspires to enhance the skyline south of Bryant Park. The 20-story tower is composed of a triumphal arch at the base, a 15-story arched bay window, and a temple fronted loggia capped by a baroque lantern.
The lobby uses serene Florentine-inspired materials and colors, and blends traditional furniture with mid-century lighting. The restaurant is sky lit and boasts Neo-Classical vaulted ceilings, mosaic floors, and wall murals to create an urbane setting for diners.
